    SP Henderson Alvarez (9-13, 4.87 ERA)

    Steve Johnson danced in and out of trouble but when he left after six innings, had given up no runs.

    Adam Jones hit a two run absolute bomb. Ryan Flaherty homered to left center. And a fourth run scored on a bases loaded double play.

    Tommy Hunter gave up a run and Darren O'Day was wonderful.

    Jim Johnson recorded his 48th save.

    Chen pitched pourly, but the Orioles kept battling back.

    Jake Arrieta pitched brilliantly in relief striking out the side with none out and runnerw at first and third.

    Buck brought him back and he created his own bases loaded sittuation and came within a strike of navigation it, before he gave up the grand slam to quiet the crowd and lose the game.
