The Orioles struggled to get anything going against Cobb. He was pretty dominant and struck out the side in one of his 3 innings. It was good to see him head to the dugout. Orioles managed to outhit the Rays, but never seemed to get anything going until there was two outs. The O's scored when Manny Machado tripled and was driven in with a single by Jason Pridie, with two outs.

Wei-Yin Chen pitched well his first outing of the spring. Brian Matusz was roughed up and gave up a 2 run homerun to Yunel Escobar and later in the same inning a solo shot to Ryan Roberts. Tommy Hunter gave up a solo shot to infielder Sean Rodriguez, first hit of the spring the next inning.

All-in-all a nice day to travel to Port Charlotte.

One thing you figure out quick in the Grapefruit League is your normal starting fielding team for the most part will not travel. Winning on the road will not be a consistent thing.
