Thrilling Finish to Orioles 11-10 Victory over the Blue Jays

    Written by Michael Williams

      . . .
    • Cal Ripken threw out the first pitch.
    • Jason Hammel pitched well. So did Mike Wright And Mark Hendrickson. No one else was very good.
    • Nolan Reimold homered for an early lead, but after a five run third,  the Orioles relievers kept allowing Tampa back in the game.  The Jays finally took the lead for good, (or so it seemed) in the top of the ninth on a blown call at first and an inexplicable baserunning blunder by the Canadians that Exposito parlayed into a two run rally.
    • The Orioles magic was back when with two down, two on and a full count, Ryan Flaherty clouted the victory into the strong wind in right field.
    • Orioles win 11 to 10.
