Orioles Blow Gem Thrown by Matusz- Then Roar Back to Beat Twins 9 to 4

    Written by Michael Williams

Brian Matusz threw almost 4 innings of perfect baseball. Then he walked his penultimate batter and went deep in a count before retiring his final one. He gave up no hits. His fastball was clocked at 93 MPH as late as the third inning.

Chris Dickerson originally put the Orioles ahead with a towering home run.

Laading 3-1, Todd Redmond gave up three runs in the bottom of the eighth to assure another late loss with non roster players on the field.

NOT THIS TIME.  The Os roar back with six runs in the top of the ninth and Chris Petrini has another good outing to close the deal. Redmond inexplicably is today's winning pitcher.
