Lets face it, with Bud Norris returning next week and Kevin Gausman in the wings, Miguel Gonzalez may be on borrowed time.
He hasn't pitched well in his last three starts, 6.14 ERA, and opponents are hitting .385/.459/.708 against him. Gonzalez has given up five home runs as well, lasting no more than five innings in each of the three outings.
He knows that this is a big start for him and the Orioles may be running thin on patience. I think this could be a "make or break" start for him in Boston.
