    Finale in Toronto; Orioles take Series with 2-to-1 Piching Gem

    The Orioles finished their Canadian series with a fine pitching and defensive performance. Doubles by Nick Markakis, Chris Davis, and J.J. Hardy and a Caleb Joseph homer were the most memorable offense. Nelson Cruz singled to complete the Orioles production with the bats. 

    Starting Pitching

    Miguel Gonzales wasn't at his best command-wise tonight, especially early on in the game. He gave up a solo home run to Anthony Gose to lead off the fifth. Gonzalez gave the Orioles six innings, with a nice Jose Bautista double play balland important moment. 

    Final Line: 6 Innings, 1 Run, 4 Hits, 2 Walks, 4 Strikeouts, Win

    Relief Pitching

    Andrew Miller, two ks, scoreless seventh.

    Darren O'Day, walk to Bautista, scoreless eighth

    Zach Britton, three ground balls, 24th save


    The bats were slightly back early, but grew silent with runners in scoring position early. After J.J. Hardy doubled, Caleb Joseph homered yet again. J.A Happ recorded 12 strikeouts aginst the Baltimore club tonight.

    Miguel Gonzalez allowed a Reyes grounder to deflect off his glove for a base hit.

    Caleb Joseph has homered in four consecutive starts.

    The Orioles lead the A.L. East by five games.

    The Orioles head to Baltimore to face the St Louis Cardinals in an interleague matchup.
