    Relief Pitching

Ubaldo Jimenez made his first relief appearance with the Orioles. His outing went very well. He retired the side in order his first two innings of work with four strikeouts. The next two innings he did allow a run to come across but walked just one batter and picked up his 5th strikeout.

Tommy Hunter entered in the 7th and didn't have one of his better outings. He surrendered four hits and two runs over two innings, including a solo bomb to Javier Baez.

    Hitting

The bats looked ready to play over the first two innings against Kyle Hendricks. Steve Pearce hit a double in the 1st and scored on Adam Jones's RBI single. The 2nd inning was also productive as J.J. Hardy singled and Jonathan Schoop doubled followed by an RBI single from Bud Norris. The scoring ceased for the offense from there.

The Cubs bullpen had their way with the Oriole bats following the delay as the bats picked up just two hits over the final 7 innings.

    Defensive Highlights/ Lowlights

Steve Pearce made a headsy play at first base, fielding a grounder and gunning over to third to get Wellington Castillo, who had attempted to move over on the play.

    Key Moments In The Game

    Other Notes/ Musings
