    Oriole Win Game / Series; 5-to-4

    Overview

    Tonight's game got under way at 7:05 ET The Orioles fell behind twice, but rallied to tie the score twice before going ahead on a two out J.J. Hardy single for good. Turning things over to the spectacular bullpen and defense. 

    Starting Pitching

    Bud Norris battled through six innings and kept the Orioles within striking distance.

    Final Line:6 Innings, 4 Runs, 2 BB and 5 K No Decision

    Relief Pitching

    Brad Brach took over for Bud Norris, and recorded only one out.

    Andrew Miller and his windmiller delivery entered in the 7th inning getting a double play and set down the side in order in the eighth. He's lived up to the promise, and some. No bad outings with the O's.

    Zach Britton entered in the 9th for the save and got what he was looking for, retiring the side in order with three groundouts. 

    Hitting

    Steve Pearce homered in the first inning. Adam Jones stole home with a Nelson Cruz delayed double steal that worked. 

    Chris Davis hit a double play ball with the bases loaded but Escobar threw the ball away after getting the first out and two scored..

    Orioles winning run scored on a two out single by J.J. Hardy after an intentional free pass to Chris Davis in the 7th.

    Defensive Highlights/ Lowlights

    J.J. Hardy plaed a line drive to a shorthop double play a veteran move that may well have changed the outcome this evening.

    J.J. Hardy singled after Joe Maddon foolishly walked Chris Davis intentionally.

    Other Notes/ Musings

    The Yankees lost today so the Oriole AL East lead is back to seven games.
