Chance Sisco makes first professional start at catcher

The Orioles second round pick in this year's draft, high school catcher Chance Sisco made his professional debut behind the plate today.

It didn't take him long to get some action when Red Sox farm hand Deiner Lopez stole second base off him. Lopez though got greedy and Sisco threw him out when he attempted to steal third.

At the dish, he went 2-for-3 with a sac fly and two RBIs. Added to his two hits in his first game as DH, and Sisco is batting a cool .571 to start off his career through his first two games.

One thing to remember though is with 6th round pick Alex Murphy on the roster and 4th round pick Jonah Heim to be added shortly, don't be surprised if he doesn't catch again for a couple of days in official action. Don't worry though, he'll still be getting lots of experience catching bullpens and simulated games down in Sarasota and should see action at DH.
