Sarasota; Wednesday, March 29: The Tampa Bay organization sent their “A” level teams to Twin Lakes Park today to face the Oriole’s Frederick and Delmarva Squads.
The minor league camp has been judged to be successful with a few notable improvements and no noteworthy disappointments. As an example, Parker Bridwell has pitched well since returning from the major league camp. Many, if not most, players have now been informed as to where they will start the year. Delmarva may be surprised to see converted outfielder Dariel Alvarez on their pitching staff. Aussie Alexander Wells may be headed there too. The Frederick Keys will be welcoming pitcher Brian Gonzalez. Will this be the year that 6’4″ catcher Ronald Soto heads north? He hit a HR yesterday.
