Austin Hays has returned to action with a vengeance. The top rated outfielder has been hampered by an ankle cyst the season ab put up poor numbers before a long term disablement. He has been on fire since his return and last night went four for four with two doubles and a home run to become the Orioles Hangout player of the day.
Bowie Baysox (57 – 64) Won 6 to 4 – Double-A
- Dillon Tate pitched five and a third innings allowing four runs and earning his first win as a Baysox. He struck out three. And walked none.
- Yusniel Diaz doubled and single as he has steadily raised his average since joining the Orioles system.
- Ryan Mountcastle tripled in four attempts, lowinging his batting average to .304.
Frederick Keys (58 – 64) Won 8 to 3 – Class A Advanced
- Preston Palmeiro went 1-for-3 with a home run and two walks.
- Jomar Reyes had two singles.
- Alex Wells allowed three runs and stuck out six over six and two thirds innings.
Delmarva Shorebirds (60 – 59) Won 4 to 2 – Class A
- Jean Carlos Encarnacion singled and homered in four at bats.
- DL Hall pitched five innings and gave up a single earned run while striking out five.
Aberdeen IronBirds (26 – 31) Won 12 to 2 – Class A Short Season
- Anthony Santander doubled three times in five at bats.
- Alexis Torres singled three times.
- Adam Hall singled twice.
