The Orioles defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 in 11 innings to salvage one victory out of the four-game series.
Doubles by both Jose Iglesias and Bryan Holaday in the top of the 11th put the O’s up 4-2. The Blue Jays got one run back on a Lourdes Gurriel, Jr RBI single.
The game ended with Gurriel, Jr getting thrown out at home: Anthony Santander to Iglesias to Chance Sisco, following a Rowdy Tellez double.
Keegan Akin started and pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 2 unearned runs on 3 hits while walking 2 and striking out 6. Cesar Valdez (2.0 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 1 K) got the win in relief.
Dillon Tate tossed 2.1 scoreless innings of relief; he walked 1 and struck out 2.
Iglesias finished the day 2 for 5 with a double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI while Santander went 2 for 5 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
