The Baltimore Orioles played a matinee game in Queens on Wednesday and lost to the New York Mets by a score of 7-1. Matt Harvey’s return to Citi Field did not go as well as hoped for.
Harvey, today’s starter, allowed 7 runs on 8 hits over 4.1 innings of work. He walked 1 and struck out 4 of the 23 Mets batters he faced. With the loss, he is now 3-3 on the year.
Keegan Akin pitched a scoreless 6th inning of relief, striking out 2. Tyler Wells pitched the 7th and 8th innings, allowign just 1 walk.
Limited to just 5 hits in total, the Orioles saw Trey Mancini go 2 for 4 with a double.
Chance Sisco went 0 for 4 with 1 RBI. His 7th inning groundout scored Freddy Galvis (0 for 2, 1 run scored, 2 BB).
