The Baltimore Orioles lost a second straight game to the New York Yankees at Camden Yards on Saturday. The final score was 8-2 and the Orioles didn’t score until the Yankees were finished their scoring.
Aaron Judge hit his third homerun of the series. The Yankee OF/DH has hit 6 of his 11 homeruns this season off of Orioles pitching.
The Baltimore bats were anemic, managing just 6 hits, but the gloves were highlight worthy. In the fourth inning Pat Valaika fed Freddy Galvis a layup to turn an acrobatic double play on a Miguel Andujar grounder and in the ninth Ryan McKenna jumped well above the outfield wall to rob Gary Sanchez of a probable homerun.
Chance Sisco went 1 for 2 with a double, 1 run scored and a walk. He also threw out Tyler Wade on an attempted steal.
Trey Mancini went 1 for 5 with 1 RBI and Austin Hays was 1 for 4 with a run scored.
Starter Jorge Lopez lasted just 2 innings, allowing 5 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits while walking 2, striking out 4 and allowing the “Judgian Blast”.
