The MLB Players Association accepted a deal from the owners today, ending a 99 day lockout. The owners ratified the deal and lifted the transaction freeze at 7 p.m tonight allowing teams to start making moves.
The Orioles are expected to report to Sarasota for spring training by Sunday, with exhibition games starting late next week.
The union’s executive board approved the agreement in a 26-12 vote, with all 8 executive members who have been representing the players during the negotiations all voting no.
