Cedric Mullins has been a good news story this spring so far.

An one hour and fifteen minute delay for rain and hail stopped play in the 5th inning during the Baltimore Orioles game with the New York Yankees. The Birds were winning 2-0 at the time of the delay. The Yankees pushed 2 runs across following the delay and a successful challenge took Anthony Rizzo’s third run off the board.

Josh Donaldson hit a two-run homer to center to put the Yankees up for good and power the New Yorkers to the win.

Cedric Mullins (1 for 4, 1 HR, 1 Run Scored, 2 RBI, 1 BB) hit a two-run homerun in the third inning to account for the entirety of the Orioles’ scoring.

Trey Mancini went 2 for 4 and Austin Hays went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored and a walk.

Tyler Wells allowed 3 hits, walked 2, struck out 3 and hit a batter during his 4.0 inning start.

Travis Lakins, Sr (0-1) was the pitcher of record and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, walked 1 and gave up the Donaldson homerun.
