The Baltimore Orioles just about doubled Monday’s offensive output in a 7-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Monday it was 1 run on 4 hits, Tuesday it was 2 runs on 7 hits. Victories are hard to come by when a team scores so few a number of runs.

Austin Hays (2 for 4, 1 run scored) and Trey Mancini (2 for 4, 1 RBI) paced the offense with Cedric Mullins (1 for 5, 1 2B, 1 run scored) and Rougned Odor (1 for 4, 1 2B) both contributed extra-base hits.

Bruce Zimmermann took the bump and did his job as a starter, he gave his team a chance to win. When the southpaw left the game it was tied at 2. Zimmermann allowed 2 runs on 4 hits while walking 2 and striking out 4 over 5.0 innings of work. He did not have his best control however, hitting 2 batters.

Taking the loss was Joey Krehbiel, who allowed 3 runs on 2 hits, including a Ryan Jeffers 3 run homerun, with 1 walk in 1.0 inning of relief. He is now 1-3 on the year.

Taking the mound Wednesday will be Kyle Bradish, who will be matched up against the Orioles 2011 number 1 draft pick, Dylan Bundy. Bradish came to the Orioles as a part of the package received for Bundy in a 2019 trade with the LA Angels.
