News Flash: the Baltimore Orioles actually had a lead over the New York Yankees on Tuesday night.
The Orioles had a 3-2 lead after four innings. Single runs in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings by the Yankees made it 5-3. The Orioles made it close with a 9th inning run of their own, but to no avail; with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs, Cedric Mullins (1 for 4, 1 BB) was out on a foul pop-up to third base.
Ramon Urias (1 for 4, 1 HR, 1 R, 2 RBI) homered for the Birds in the 2nd inning but Aaron Judge countered with two homeruns of his own in the 3rd and 5th innings.
Trey Mancini went 2 for 4 with a double and 1 run scored.
Tyler Nevin went 2 for 3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. He also made a highlight play on an Isiah Kiner-Falefa ground ball in the 8th.
Starter Spenser Watkins allowed 2 runs on 4 hits (1 homerun) while walking 3, striking out 1 and hitting a batter.
Logan Gillaspie made his MLB debut with 2.0 innings of relief in which he allowed 3 hits and struck out 1
