The Baltimore Orioles ended their trip to the Pacific Northwest on a down note Wednesday afternoon. The Orioles lost to the Seattle Mariners 9-3 but still finished the month of June on a high note with a 14-12 record.
Ryan Mountcastle doubled and finished the game 2 for 3 with 1 RBI and a walk. Trey Mancini (1 for 5, 2 RBI) and Rougned Odor (1 for 3 with a walk) joined the double party.
Cedric Mullins went 2 for 3 with a run scored and 2 walks.
Austin Voth (0-1) made his third start ( 6 total appearances) as an Oriole and allowed 3 runs, 1 earned, on 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 2 over 3.0 innings to take the loss, his first in Baltimore.
Nick Vespi had a meltdown in the fourth inning, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits (1 homerun) in just one-third of an inning, certainly not like his previous relief appearances.
Bryan Baker (2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 WP), Dillon Tate (1.0 IP, 1 K) and Jorge Lopez (1.0 IP, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 balk) stopped the bleeding to no avail.
