Trailing 2-0 going into their half of the fourth inning, the Orioles started a four run rally after Trey Mancini (2 for 4, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI) was hit by a pitch with one out. Ryan Mountcastle (1 for 4, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI) doubled Mancini in, 2 walks loaded the bases. A Ramon Urias (2 for 4, 3 RBI) single knocked two runs in and Rougned Odor’s (1 for 4, 1 RBI) single knocked the fourth run in.
The Orioles scored four more in the fifth inning. Anthony Santander (1 for 3, 1 2B, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, 1 BB) doubled in Mancini, who had singled, then an Angels error, a passed ball and a wild pitch allowed two more runs to score. Finally, Urias singled in the last run of the inning.
Mancini knocked in Jorge Mateo (2 for 4, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 run scored) for the orioles ninth run in the 6th inning.
Austin Voth (1-1) got the win for his 5.0 innings of work in which he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits (1 homerun) with 6 strikeouts and a wild pitch thrown.
Dillon Tate (1.0 IP, 1 K) and Felix Bautista (1.0 IP, 1 BB, 1 K) each were solid in relief.
