The Baltimore Orioles found themselves on the short-end of a 5-4 game at Tropicana Field on Friday night. That loss to the Tampa Bay Rays stung because the Orioles eighth inning rally was not enough and especially because it ended the team’s 10 game winning streak.

Despite doing all he could to keep the Orioles in the game, Tyler Wells (7-5) ultimately took the loss. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings. Wells walked 2 and struck out 6 as well. He left the game with a man on second, 2 outs and the Orioles down 3-2.

Enter Cionel Perez. Perez allowed the inherited runner to score and gave up a two-run homerun to pinch-hitter Christian Bethancourt, finishing with a line of 2 runs allowed on 2 hits in one-third of an inning.

Ramon Urias held up the offense with a two run homerun in the eighth inning. He finished the game 2 for 4 with 2 homeruns, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI.

Trey Mancini also homered and finished the night 3 for 5 with a run scored and 1 RBI.

Austin Hays went 2 for 3 with a double, 1 run scored and was hit by a pitch.
