The Arizona Fall League held its annual Fall Stars Game on Sunday. The AFL changed the format of the game this year to the American League prospects versus the National League prospects just as MLB does.
The National League Fall Stars won the game 9-3 at Sloan Park. Chicago Cubs prospect Matt Mervis was named the MVP of the game.
Two Baltimore Orioles prospects played in the game;
Heston Kjerstad (RF), batting third, went 1 for 4 with 1 RBI, a walk, a strikeout and committed a fielding error in the first inning.
Noah Denoyer (SP) pitched 1.0 inning, allowing an unearned run, 1 hit and a walk. He faced five batters and threw 18 pitches (11 strikes).
