Sunday’s game at Guaranteed Rate Field was delayed for 2 hours 22 minutes by rain in Chicago. When the game finally started it looked as dismal as the weather; the Orioles found themselves down 4-0 to the White Sox after the first inning. Baltimore pitching buckled down and allowed just four hits and 1 walk over innings two through nine, giving the offense time to catch up.

The Orioles took the lead with three eighth inning runs and tacked on another run in the ninth to win the game 8-4. The catalyst for the late game scoring was Cedric Mullins. Mullins hit RBI singles in the eighth and ninth innings to finish the day 3 for 5 with a triple, 4 RBI and a walk.

Gunnar Henderson went 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored and a walk.

Jorge Mateo went 2 for 3 with a double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI, a walk and a stolen base.

Starting pitcher Grayson Rodriguez surrendered two first inning homeruns and then settled down to finish with a line of 5.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 2 BB and 8 K.

Mike Baumann (2-0) walked 1 and struck out 2 in 2.0 innings of relief to get the win.

Austin Voth struck out 2 in an inning of relief.
