Sunday’s game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards was promoted as Little League Day. Prior to the game, area Recreation Council baseball players and Little League players walk on the warning track and parade past the players sharing fist pumps, hand slaps and high fives.
The Baltimore Orioles treated those Little Leaguers and the rest of the fans to a 2-1, 10 inning, win over the Detroit Tigers. The team is on a six-game winning streak as a result.
Detroit pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez had a perfect game going into the seventh inning. Ryan Moutcastle (1 for 4) singled with two outs in the seventh to break up the perfecto.
Anthony Santander (1 for 1, 1 RBI) hit a pinch-hit double in the eighth inning to plate the O’s first run and tie the game.
