A day after playing a ten inning game in Toronto, the Baltimore Orioles said “hold my Labatt” and played an eleven inning game Sunday. When all was said and done, the Orioles scored an 8-3 win and in turn swept the three game series with the Blue Jays.
On a day when the Orioles had to use every available arm in the bullpen and every player on the bench, the Birds erupted for five runs in the top of the eleventh. The rally started after the first out of the inning. Austin Hays (3 for 4, 1 2B, 1 Run, 1 RBI, 1 BB) followed an Adam Frazier (2 for 5, 1 Run) single with a RBI single. Gunnar Henderson (1 for 5, 1 Run) singled to load the bases and Terrin Vavra (1 for 1, 1 Run, 2 BRI) singled in two runs. With two outs Cedric Mullins (5 for 6, 2 2B, 1 Run, 3 RBI, 1 SB) doubled in the final two Baltimore runs.
