One day removed from an eleven run, seventeen hit offensive barrage the Baltimore Orioles and their bats were stifled in a 3-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday night. In fact, the Orioles were the subject of a Jose Berrios no-hit bid through six innings. Through six innings the Orioles only had two runners on base, Austin Hays (1 for 3, 1 BB) via a fifth inning walk and Ramon Urias (1 for 2, 1 HBP) who was hit by a pitch in the sixth.

A seventh inning leadoff single by Adley Rutschman (1 for 4) broke up the no-hit bid. In the ninth, Baltimore staged a two out rally. With two outs, Ryan O’Hearn (1 for 4, 1 Run), Hays and Aaron Hicks (1 for 4, 1 RBI) all singled and O’Hearn was able to plate a run. It ended with an Adam Frazier (1 for 4) strikeout.

Kyle Bradish (2-3) held his own by allowing 1 run on 4 hits (1 HR) and striking out 1 in a 7.0 inning start. Bradish’s lone run allowed came on a George Springer homerun in the sixth inning.

Danny Coulombe came in to pitch the seventh and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and walked one without recording an out.

Mike Baumann (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB) and Reed Garrett (1.0 IP, 2 H) finished the game.
