The Baltimore Orioles turned the page on Saturday, putting Friday’s loss behind them, with an extra-inning win over the Seattle Mariners. Tied at four after nine innings, the game ended when defensive replacement (ninth inning) Ryan McKenna (1 for 1, 1 R, 2 RBI) hit a one out two run homerun to right center field, giving the Orioles a 6-4 victory.

McKenna wasn’t the only Oriole to homer in the game, he was just the most opportune homerun hitter. Anthony Santander (4 for 4, 1 R, 2 RBI) hit his 13th homerun in the third inning and Aaron Hicks (1 for 4, 1 R, 1 RBI) hit his fourth homerun in an Orioles uniform in the sixth.

Cedric Mullins returned from the IL and went 0 for 4 with a walk and a run scored; he was the “ghost runner” in the tenth and scored on the McKenna homerun.

Adam Frazier went 2 for 3 with a run scored, 1 RBI, a walk and a stolen base.

Dean Kremer provided another quality start despite surrendering three Seattle homeruns; Kremer allowed 3 runs on 6 hits with a walk and 5 strikeouts over 7.0 innings.

Felix Bautista‘s (1.0 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 2 K) fifth blown save of the year, on a Mike Ford homerun, allowed Mike Baumann (1.0 IP, 2 K) to get his fifth win without a loss in 2023.
