Rain, repeat…that’s what happened on Tuesday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. For the second night in a row, rain delayed the completion of the game by one hour forty-three minutes. In the end, the Baltimore Orioles dropped the game to the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 3-1.
Tyler Wells (6-4) did his part by providing a quality start; the bats failed to take advantage of that start. Wells did surrender another homerun, the 19th this season, and left with the score 2-1 after allowing the 2 runs on 4 hits over 6.0 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 7 as well. In the end, Wells was tagged with the loss.

The Baltimore offense was minimal but youthful. Gunnar Henderson went 1 for 4 with a double while Jordan Westburg went 2 for 3 with a walk. Three hits was all the Birds could muster against Cincinnati pitching.
Aaron Hicks (0 for 3, 1 BB) scored the Orioles lone run in the second inning on a Ryan McKenna (0 for 1, 1 RBI) sacrifice fly.

The Orioles did have baserunners as Austin Hays (0 for 1), Adley Rutschman (0 for 3), Cedric Mullins (0 for 1) and Adam Frazier (0 for 0, HBP) all reached base via a walk. Ryan O’Hearn (0 for 1) was also hit by a pitch. Unfortunately, the Orioles left 9 runners on base.
