Limited to four hits on Friday, the Baltimore Orioles dropped their game with the Seattle Mariners by a score of 9-2. The Mariners scored two runs in the first inning and never looked back. Anthony Santander (1 for 4, 1 R, 1 RBI) hit his 21st homerun of the year in the fourth inning to draw the Birds within one. A five run bottom of the fourth provided Seattle all the cushion they would need on the night.

Seattle scored a single run in each of the fifth and sixth innings. Jordan Westburg‘s (1 for 2, 1 RBI) RBI single in the ninth scored Ryan O’Hearn (1 for 4, 1 2B, 1 R) but it turned out to be too little, too late.
Ramon Urias went 1 for 4.
In a non-typical start, Kyle Gibson (11-7) surrendered 3 homeruns on the way to allowing 9 runs on 12 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Once again Jacob Webb pitched well in relief, striking out 2 in 1.1 innings pitched.
Cedric Mullins went 0 for 4 but did make a nice catch of a Julio Rodriguez fly ball to center in the first inning.
