The start of Friday’s game in Chicago was delayed by 41 minutes for weather in the area and saw rain, heavy at times, in the latter innings. When the final out was recorded, the Baltimore Orioles secured a 6-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.

An Adley Rutschman (1 for 1, 2 RBI) two-RBI pinch hit single in the eighth inning accounted for the difference.

Gunnar Henderson (2 for 5, 2B, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI) homered in the fifth inning to put the O’s ahead 3-0 and Ryan Mountcastle‘s (1 for 3, 2B, RBI, BB) double scored Jordan Westburg (1 for 4, 2B, R, RBI, BB) to extend the lead to 4-0.

The fifth inning was problematic for starter Corbin Burnes as he allowed three runs for the White Sox. Despite that Burnes did give the O’s a quality start, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits with 2 walks and 6 strike outs but did not factor into the decision.

Yennier Cano (3-2) was credited with the win for a 1.0 inning, 1 run, 1 hit (HR), 2 strike out effort.

Craig Kimbrel (1.0 IP, K) recorded his 11th save of the year and the game ended when Colton Cowser (0 for 1) made a leaping catch in center field, robbing Tommy Pham of a homerun.
