Saturday’s game with the Tampa Bay Rays was Anthony Santander “Walk-off” bobblehead day. Santander marked the occasion by going 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and a walk, including a 401 ft. homerun that landed on Eutaw Street in the first inning. That blast was the first by a Baltimore batter to land on Eutaw St. this season and helped lead the Baltimore Orioles to a 9-5 win.

Santander’s homerun came on the heels of a Ryan Mountcastle (2 for 3, 2 HR, 3 R, 4 RBI, BB) homerun to center field. Mountcastle homered to center field again in the fourth inning.

Jordan Westburg (2 for 4, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI) hit his 9th homerun of the season in the second inning.

All of this fire power was necessary because Kyle Bradish (2.2 IP, 5 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 6 K, WP) struggled and left the game with Tampa Bay holding a 5-4 lead following a bases loaded walk.

The Orioles used five relievers with Jacob Webb (1-3) getting credit for the win for his 2.1 inning, one walk, one strikeout relief effort.

Dillon Tate allowed 2 hits in 1.0 inning of work, Cionel Perez struck out 2 in 1.0 inning, Yennier Cano struck out 2 in 1.0 inning and Keegan Akin allowed a hit and struck out 2 in the ninth inning. All in all it was a solid effort by the bullpen.

Kyle Stowers went 1 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI.

Gunnar Henderson went 1 for 5 while Ryan O’Hearn went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored.
