Friday’s game in Coors Field marked the first time in six years that a player with the last name of Holliday stepped foot on the field. Jackson Holliday, who played on that field as a youngster, got to play on the field wearing a Major League uniform. Holliday made the most of the opportunity in the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 win over the Colorado Rockies. The now 20-year-old went 1 for 3 with a triple, 1 run scored, 1 RBI, a walk and a stolen base in his return to Coors Field.
There was another run producer on Friday. Emmanuel Rivera homered in the fourth inning and finished the night 2 for 3 with a homerun, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.
Eloy Jimenez went 2 for 3 with a double.
Colton Cowser went 1 for 4 with a double and 1 run scored.
Making his longest start as an Oriole, Albert Suarez (7-4) allowed 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out 4 over 7.0 innings and was credited with the win.
Seranthony Dominguez (1.0 IP, 1 R, 2 H (HR), 2 K) earned his 8th save.
