The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Detroit Tigers 4-2 on Saturday. The win started with a quality pitching effort by starter Corbin Burnes (14-8). Burnes pitched 7.0 scoreless innings and allowed just two hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. He threw 97 pitches (59 strikes) in recording the victory.
Burnes was supported by Gunnar Henderson. Henderson hit a two-run homerun, his 37th of the season, in the seventh inning and finished the day by going 2 for 3 with a double and a homerun, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI, a walk and a stolen base.
Cedric Mullins went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI, a walk and a stolen base.
James McCann went 0 for 3 with 1 RBI.
Livan Soto went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. He also represented himself well on defense at second base.
Pitching the ninth inning, Seranthony Dominguez allowed 2 runs on 3 hits (1 HR) and struck out 1.
