Monday night in the Pacific Northwest saw the Baltimore Orioles extend their current winning streak to four games with a 5-1 win over the Seattle Mariners.

Colton Cowser marked his return from the 60-day IL with a sixth inning homerun. The long ball travelled 394 ft. to left-center and was Cowser’s only hit of the night; he finished the contest 1 for 4 with the aforementioned homerun, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

Cowser’s homerun came in support of Tomoyuki Sugano (5-3), who once again provided the team with a quality start. Sugano hurled 90 pitches, 58 for strikes, over 7.0 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5 in earning the win, his 5th. The lone blemish to Sugano’s line was a second inning Rowdy Tellez homerun. Six of Sugano’s tweleve starts on the season have been quality starts.

Bryan Baker (1.0 IP, 2 H, 2 K) and Felix Bautista (1.0 IP, K) finished the game.

The Orioles opened the game with three consecutive one-out singles and got on the scoreboard with a Ramon Urias (0 for 3, RBI) sac. fly.

Three consecutive singles with two outs put a second run on the board in the fifth.

Heston Kjerstad‘s (2 for 3, 2B, RBI, BB) RBI-double and Jackson Holliday‘s (1 for 5, RBI) RBI-single in the ninth ultimately put the game out of reach.

Adley Rutschman (3 for 5, 2 R) had a productive night and Ryan O’Hearn (2 for 3, RBI, BB) continued to make a case for a spot in the 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta.

Gunnar Henderson went 2 for 5 and Coby Mayo went 1 for 4 with a run scored.

Dylan Carlson went 1 for 4.

On this night at least, the Orioles showed what they are capable of when they string hits together.
