Baltimore Orioles 2020 1st round draft pick (#2 overall) and #9 prospect Heston Kjerstad was named the 2022 Arizona Fall League MVP on Saturday.

Kjerstad finished the season with a slash line of .357/ .385/ .622/ 1.007 in 22 games (98 AB). He hit 9 doubles, 1 triple and 5 homeruns with 17 RBI and 13 runs scored. Kjerstad drew 5 walks but did strikeout 31 times.

Aditionally, a look at the AFL leaderboard has Kjerstad’s name all over it. He finished first in AB, H and 2B, tied for third in HR and RBI, fourth in AVG and SLUG %, sixth in OPS and seventh in games played.

It may have taken a while for Heston to get on the field following his health issues, but he certainly has given fans a glimpse of his potential.
