Dean Kremer gave up no runs and 3 hits while walking 2 and striking out 5 over 7.0 innings pitched.  The quality start resulted in a win for Bowie and evened Kremer’s record at 4-4.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (33-51) WON 3-2 OVER GWINNETT – AAA

  • Christopher Bostick went 1 for 3 with 2 runs scored, 1 homerun, 2 RBI and 1 walk.
  • Luis Ortiz gave up 2 runs, 1 earned, on 6 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts over 5.0 innings pitched.  He recorded the win, his third.

BOWIE BAYSOX (41-41) WON 6-2 AT HARTFORD – AA

  • Ryan McKenna went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 2 homeruns, 2 RBI, 1 strikeout and was hit by a pitch.
  • Dillon Tate gave up 2 runs on 4 hits with 1 strikeout over 1.0 inning of relief pitched.

FREDERICK KEYS (34-47) POSTPONED WITH LYNCHBURG – A (ADV.)

The make-up is scheduled for 7/3.

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (58-24) WON 8-4 AT LAKEWOOD – A (LOW)

  • Jaylen Ferguson went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored, 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 1 strikeout.
  • Ofelky Peralta gave up 3 hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts over 6.0 scoreless innings pitched.  He is now 6-2 on the year.

ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS (6-11) SUSPENDED WITH CONNECTICUT – A (SHORT)

The game will be resumed on July 17th.

GULF COAST ORIOLES (6-0) WON 9-3 AT THE GCL RED SOX – ROOKIE

  • Davis Tavarez went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored, 1 double, 1 homerun, 5 RBI and 1 stolen base.
  • Moises Nolasco gave up 2 runs on 2 hits with 2 walks, 1 strikeout and 1 hit batter over 2.0 innings pitched.  He was credited with his first win of the season.
