Trailing the LA Angels 4-3 in the seventh inning Saturday night, the Baltimore Orioles came back and won the game by a score of 5-4.

The 7th started with the Orioles trailing 4-2. Anthony Bemboom (2 for 4, 1 2B, 1 run scored) singled, Jorge Mateo (0 for 4, 1 SB) lined out, Cedric Mullins (1 for 3, 2 runs scored, 1 BB, 2 SB, 1 HBP) was hit by a pitch and Anthony Santander (0 for 3, 2 runs scored, 1 HBP, 1 BB) loaded the bases by reaching on a throwing error by Anthony Rendon.

Trey Mancini’s sacrifice fly made the score 4-2 which set the stage for Ryan Mountcastle. The Orioles’ first baseman singled in 2 runs to put the Birds on top 5-4. Mountcastle finished the game 2 for 5 with 3 RBI and a first inning stolen base; it was his first inning single that started the Baltimore scoring.

Dillon Tate (1.0 IP, 1 BB, 1 K) and Joey Krehbiel (1.0 IP, 1 BB) made the score hold up and Jorge Lopez (1.0 IP, 1 H, 2 K) saved it for Bryan Baker (1-0) who relieved starter Spenser Watkins (5.0 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 2 K, 2 HR allowed to Mike Trout). For Lopez it was his 4th save of the year; he is 4 for 4 in save opportunities. Baker was credited with the win despite allowing 2 runs on 2 hits, striking out 1 and giving up a homerun in 1.0 inning of work.

Anthony Santander continues to get on base any way he can. He went 0 for 3 with 2 runs scored, a walk (8th inning) and was hit by a pitch (1st inning).
