The Baltimore Orioles lost 6-5 in walk-off fashion to the LA Angels on Sunday. The game ended on a bases loaded, 2-RBI double off the bat of Juan Legares. Cole Sulser (0.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 K), who entered the game in the 8th inning, loaded the bases with a walk followed by consecutive singles ans took the loss.

The loss was especially tough to take because of the effort it took to tie the game. Newly-named All-Star Cedric Mullins (2 for 2, 1 R, 2 RBI) who was being given a day off, capped off the Orioles 4 run rally in the 6th with a pinch-hit RBI single to tie the game at 4.

Mullins then homered to center with one out in the 9th to give the Orioles the lead, a lead they couldn’t hold.

Ramon Urias continues to swing a hot bat since being recalled from Norfolk on June 27th. The shortstop went 2 for 3 with a double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and a walk. He is slashing .360/ .448/ .600 since his recall.

Orioles starter Thomas Eshelman lasted just 4.0 innings having allowed 4 runs on 7 hits (2 homeruns) and striking out 1.

Relievers Zac Lowther (1.0 IP, 1 BB, 2 K), Tyler Wells (1.0 IP, 2 K) and Tanner Scott (1.2 IP) held the Angels in check until the 9th inning meltdown.

Ryan McKenna (0 for 4, 1 BB) did his best Mullins imitation with a diving catch of a Kurt Suzuki fly ball in the 6th inning.
