The Baltimore Orioles found themselves on the short end Sunday, losing 7-6 to the LA Angels. The Birds were down 6-0 before recording an out in the first inning. Two three-run innings saw the team tie the game at 6 going into the Angel’s half of the seventh. A bases loaded walk to Taylor Ward proved to be the difference in the game.

The Orioles pitching staff suffered another loss. Starter Chris Ellis (0.0 IP, 5 R, 1 H, 3 BB, 1 Hit Batter) left the game with right shoulder discomfort. The bullpen rose to the occasion and held the Angels in check. Michael Baumann (1-2) allowed 1 run on 1 hit, walked 1, struck out 1 and hit a batter in 1.1 innings and was the pitcher of record.

Trey Mancini went 2 for 4 with a homerun, 1 run scored, 3 RBI and a walk.

Austin Hays went 1 for 4 with a homerun, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.

Ryan Mountcastle went 1 for 4 with a run scored and 1 RBI,

Cedric Mullins went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 walks, while Anthony Santander extended his on-base streak the hard way by getting hit by a pitch in the seventh inning.
