Saturday’s game saw the MLB debut of DL Hall, a much anticipated debut for Birdland. It was so anticipated that another Baltimore top prospect, Grayson Rodriguez, was in attendance at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay made it a disappointing debut by beating the Baltimore Orioles 8-2 and giving Hall his first MLB loss.

Hall (0-1) pitched 3.2 innings and needed 76 pitches (47 strikes) to navigate 19 Rays batters. He allowed 5 runs on 5 hits while walking 3 and striking out 6. He did, however, strike out the side in the second inning.

Spenser Watkins tossed 3.0 innings of relief and surrendered 3 runs on 6 hits with 1 walk, 1 strikeout and a homerun allowed.

Robinson Chirinos went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and Rougned Odor went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI, a walk and a stolen base.

Scoring for the Orioles were Ramon Urias (1 for 4, 1 double, 1 run scored) and Jorge Mateo (1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored).

Adley Rutschman went 1 for 5 with a double.
