The Baltimore Orioles finished the road portion of the 2022 season on Sunday with a 3-1 win over the New York Yankees. With the win the Birds finished with a 38-43 record away from Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

A Ryan Mountcastle (1 for 4, 1 RBI, 1BB) RBI-double in the first staked the Orioles to the early lead. The Yankees tied the game in the fifth inning when they scored their lone run. A wild pitch by starter Kyle Bradish (5.0 IP, 3 H, 1 UER, 5 BB, 5 K) allowed that run to score.

The Orioles loaded the bases in the seventh inning with a single by Cedric Mullins (2 for 5, 1 2B, 1 Run Scored) and walks to Adley Rutschman (2 for 3, 1 2B, 2 Runs Scored, 2 BB) and Anthony Santander (0 for 3, 2 BB). Gunnar Henderson (0 for 4, 1 RBI, 1 BB) drew a bases-loaded walk, allowing the Orioles second run to score and Austin Hays (1 for 4, 1 2B, 1 RBI) hit a sacrifice fly to allow the third run to cross the plate.

Kyle Stowers went 1 for 3 with a double.

The bullpen more than did their job as Logan Gillaspie (1.0 IP, 1 H) was credited with the win, his first, Bryan Baker (2.0 IP, 5K) struck out 5 of the 6 batters he faced and Dillon Tate (1.0 IP, 1 K) earned the save, his fifth.

The win assures the Orioles a winning record this season and also gives the team 30 more wins than they had in all of 2021 (52).
