The Baltimore Orioles returned to Camden Yards to celebrate the 4th of July on Monday and they were a Yankee Doodle Dandy as they won 7-6 in 10 innings over the Texas Rangers. The win will leava a mark with Jorge Mateo. Mateo was hit by a pitch for the fourth time in 2022; this time it came with the bases loaded in the 10th inning. Once Austin Hays (1 for 4, 1 run scored and was hit by a pitch) touched home, all that was left was for Mateo to reach first base. He finally did with some assistance and was rewarded with a blue Gatorade shower. Mateo finished the game 0 for 2 with a run scored, 1 RBI, 1 walk and the 10th inning hit by pitch).

Cedric Mullins went 2 for 5 with a double, a homerun, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.

Adley Rutschman went 2 for 4 with a double, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and a walk.

Rougned Odor went 3 for 5 with a double and a run scored.

Likewise, Anthony Santander doubled in going 2 for 5.

Starter Dean Kremer struggled through 4.2 innings of work. Kremer allowed 5 runs on 8 hits (1 homerun) with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Jorge Lopez gave up a homerun, walked 1 and struck out 2 in 1.0 inning of relief.

The pitcher of record was Bryan Baker (3-3), who walked 1 and struck out 2 in the 10th inning to get credited with the win.
