The Baltimore Orioles saw three homeruns leave Great American Ball Park on Saturday, unfortunately, none were hit by Orioles bats. In the end, the Reds won the contest 8-2. The homeruns were enough to defeat the Orioles alone; five runs were scored as a result of Cincinnati’s homeruns, more than enough to defeat the Orioles.

Adley Rutschman went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

Anthony Santander went 1 for 4 with 1 RBI. Santander also combined with Rutschman to get Jake Fraley out tagging up on a Jonathan India fly out to right field.

Trey Mancini went 1 for 4 with a run scored.

The play of the day had to be the 3-unassisted out in the bottom of the fifth when Nick Senzel hit a ball the hit the wall and then was caught by Austin Hays (0 for 3). Senzel was called out for passing Kyle Farmer on the basepaths. Hays caught the ball as he jumped up to catch it and apparently Senzel didn’t see the ball hit the wall.

Dean Kremer (3-3) toed the rubber as the starting pitcher and allowed 6 runs on 10 hits, 2 of which were homeruns, walked 1 and struck out 3 in 4.1 innings of work. He took the loss.
