Corban Joseph stays red hot going 3-for-4 with a double and walk to be the Hangout Minor league player of the night. Joseph is now slashing .457/.472/.600/1.072 through his first 36 PAs this season.

Norfolk Tides (4 – 5) Lost 7 to 3 – Triple-A

  • Jimmy Yacabonis allowed 3 ER on 5 hits while striking out 3 in 3 IP in his second start. He now has a 7.20 ERA.
  • Spring training sensation Joely Rodriguez has been less than stellar since the regular season started allowed 4 ER on 4 H and 3 BB in just 1.2 IP. He now has a 9.95 ERA and is way behind as a left-handed pitching options for the Orioles now.
  • Andrew Susac went 1-for-3 with his first home run of the season

Bowie Baysox (5 – 4) lost 4-2 – Double-A

  • Manager Gary Kendell managed his 1,000th game for the Baysox. Quite an accomplishment. Congratulations to a great baseball man.
  • Ademar Rifaela collected 2 BB while going 2-for-3. He’s slashing .313/.351/.375/.726 in his first 35 AA PAs.
  • Left-handed reliever Luis Gonzalez keeps mowing them down tossing two innings of shutout relief, striking out 4. The 26-year old has now struck out 11 in just 5.1 IP this season.

Frederick Keys (5 – 6) Lost 5 to 0 – Class A Advanced

  • The Keys collected just four hits on the night.
  • Ofelky Peralta started and allowed 2 unearned runs in 4 IP. He struck out 5 but allowed 4 BB in a typical outing for the young wild right-hander.
