It took a torrential downpour to stop Frederick Keys LHP Zac Lowther as he pitched 5.0 innings of scoreless baseball before the game was suspended.  Surrendering just one hit to Myrtle Beach, Lowther struck out eight.  He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

NORFOLK TIDES (68-70) LOST Game 12-9 TO DURHAM – AAA

  • Anthony Santander went 2 for 4 with a double, a homerun, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and a walk.

 

BOWIE BAYSOX (66-70) LOST 6-3 TO ALTOONA – AA

  • Yusniel Diaz went 3 for 4 with a double, 1 run scored and was caught stealing.
