Nate Pearson was too tough, and Orioles pitching allowed three more home runs as the Blue Jays won 5-3 over the last place Orioles.

In the bottom of the first Randal Grichuk got the Blue Jays on the board first with a two-run home run to give them a 2-0 lead. In the 4th, Nick Markakis hit a two-out two-run homer to put Toronto up 4-0.
In the top of the 5th with two outs, Yusniel Diaz broke up Nick Pearson’s no-hit bid with a clean single up the middle. Pearson though got out of the inning unscathed.
Pearson was outstanding, dominating the Orioles over 6.1 IP, allowing just the two hits and hits batsman while striking out 10.
The Blue jays bullpen was money too until the 9th when the Orioles finally broke through with a one-out RBI double by Rio Ruiz to put them on the board 5-1. That brought in closer Ken Giles. Giles struck out Diaz with runners on 2nd and 3rd, but a two-single by Dwight Smith Jr. made it 5-2 and brought the tie run to the plate in Bryan Holaday.
Brandon Hyde though decided he wanted a little more punch and make Giles face a lefty so he pinched hit Chris Davis. Davis hit a chopper back up them middle that just got over the pitchers head and surprising beat it out for an RBI infield single to make it 5-3.
That brought up Hanser Alberto, but Hyde decided to go with the lefty again and brought in Andrew Velazquez, who has played in severl games due to a sore knee. Giles though was able to get Velazquez to fly out to center field to end the game, 5-3.
The Orioles fall to 13-24.

Norfolk Lost 1-6 (12-14)
Zach Lowther (5.34) allowed four runs in six innings of work on eight hits and three walks with just two Ks. Pat Valiaka homered for the Tides only run.
Bowie lost 4-5 (10 inn) (17-9)
Isaac Matson (2.77) blew the save in the 9th and Cody Sedlock (1.69) gave up a walk off homer in the bottom on the 10th for the loss. 2B Mason McCoy (.286) went 3-for-5 with a double.
Keys won 6-4 (14-14)
Drew Rom (3.58) had to come out of the game with back spasms in the 3rd, but allowed two earned runs over 2.2 IP. C Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 with an RBI double (8).
Delmarva Lost 1-5 (11-15)
Ben Breazeale (.296) went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and SS Clay Fisher (.297) went 3-for-5. Kevin McGee (4.15) allowed two earned runs in 4.2 IP but Connor Gillespie (6.38) tossed four solid innings of relief, allowing just one earned run while striking out five.
