Adley Rutschman (1 for 2, 1 run scored, 1 BB) led off the 8th with a single, Ramon Urias’ (1 for 3, 1 run scored, 2 RBI) 11th homerun put the Birds on top 4-3 and Trey Mancini’s (0 for 3, 1 RBI) sacrifice fly scored Jorge Mateo (1 for 3, 1 2B, 1 run scored, 1 SB).

Anthony Santander (1 for 3, 1 run scored, 1 RBI) homered, his 17th, in the 4th inning.

Starter Spenser Watkins, allowed 3 runs on 10 hits (1 homerun allowed) while striking out 3 but did not factor into the decision.

Keegan Akin (2-1) struck out 1 in 0.1 inning to get the wein and Jorge Lopez (1.0 IP, 1 H) earned his 19th save of the year.
