The Scottsdale Scorpions (7-6) defeated the Peoria Javelinas 6-4 on Monday. The game featured two inside-the-park homeruns by the Scorpions.

Heston Kjerstad (4 for 5, 1 Run, 2 RBI) hit the first inside-the-park homerun in the first inning and Atlanta’s Cal Conley (3 for 5, 2 Runs, 4 RBI, 1 SB) hit the second ITP homerun in the fourth inning.

Kjerstad’s homerun benefited fellow Orioles farmhand Noah Denoyer (1-1). Denoyer allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, including Conley’s ITP homer, walked 2 and struck out 4 over 4.1 innings. He threw 68 pitches (40 strikes) ito earn the win.

Reed Trimble went 0 for 3 with a run scored, a walk and 2 stolen bases.

Easton Lucas walked 1 and struck out 1 in 0.2 inning.
