Sunday’s game in San Francisco ended with the Baltimore Orioles defeating the San Francisco Giants 8-3. With that win came another series win for the Orioles. Following the game the team will head to Milwaukee for a three game series with the Brewers starting on Tuesday. Since Monday is an off day the team will have multiple places to visit in Milwaukee for celebratory brews.

Worth celebrating was the Baltimore six run third inning. The inning started with a James McCann (1 for 2, 1 HR, 2 runs, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 HBP) walk. Jorge Mateo‘s (2 for 4, 1 2B, 1 run, 1 SB) double moved McCann to third and Adam Frazier‘s (0 for 4, 1 RBI) sacrifice fly allowed him to score. Singles by Adley Rutschman (2 for 5, 1 2B, 1 run) and Austin Hays (1 for 5, 1 run, 1 RBI, 1 SB) allowed Mateo to score. Walks to Aaron Hicks (2 for 4, 1 3B, 1 run, 1 RBI, 1 BB) and Ryan Mountcastle (1 for 4, 1 run, 1 RBI, 1 BB) plated another run. Josh Lester (1 for 3, 2 RBI) cleared the bases with a single and a subsequent Giants’ error.

McCann homered in the sixth and Hicks’ triple in the ninth allowed the 8th run to score.

Tyler Wells (4-2) allowed 2 runs on 4 hits (1 HR), walked 2 and struck out 9 over 5.1 innings to earn the win.

Three Baltimore relievers (Mike Baumann, Yennier Cano and Austin Voth) combined to allow 1 run on 1 hit with a walk and 2 strikeouts over 3.2 innings to finish out the game.
