The Baltimore Orioles won their fourth consecutive game Sunday and in doing so, swept the series with the Royals. On an eighty-seven degree day, Baltimore smoked Kansas City by a score of 11-3.
Leading the way was starter and winning pitcher Kyle Gibson (8-3). The veteran Gibson was tuned up, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits (1 HR) and striking out 4 in 6.1 innings of work. He threw 90 pitches (59 strikes) in the quality start.
Giving the bullpen a break was Keegan Akin, who pitched the final 2.2 innings, giving up 1 hit and striking out 6.
Ryan O’Hearn burned his former team (acquired for cash considerations in January from the Royals) in Sunday’s game by going 3 for 3 with a homerun, 4 runs scored, 1 RBI and 2 walks.

Gunnar Henderson went 3 for 5 with a double, a homerun, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. The homerun travelled 462 feet to Eutaw Street at 113.8 mph and hit the warehouse on a bounce.
